Incredibly intense trailer for Netflix’s Indonesian zombie film THE ELIXIR

Netflix has just released the official trailer for The elixiran Indonesian zombie horror thriller that looks absolutely insane. The film mixes undead mayhem with dark comedy and a touch of cultural flavor.

Directed by Kimo Stamboelhalf of the directing duo The Mo brothers, The elixir dives into the story of a dysfunctional family whose obsession with herbal medicine leads to a full-blown zombie epidemic. T

The film follows Kenes, played by Mikha Tambayong, who visits his father Sadimin (Donny Damara), owner of a renowned herbal products company. Things spiral out of control when Sadimin drinks a new potion that promises eternal youth and instead transforms into a flesh-hungry monster.

Tensions between Kenes and her best friend Karina (Eva Celia), who plans to marry Sadimin, seethes just as the horrific transformation begins. Panic breaks out, chaos spreads through the village, and soon the undead are tearing apart everyone in their path.

With the family feud literally turning into a fight for survival, everyone must put their egos and emotions aside if they want to survive.

Set in a remote village near Yogyakarta, The Elixir blends Indonesian culture with zombie horror. The story is inspired by traditional herbal practices known as jamu, intertwined with local mythological undertones and rural family drama. It’s a wild mix of cultural authenticity and bloody chaos.
