Live actionVoltron the movie has been added Sterling K. Brown, Rita OraAND John Kim to the cast. They join previously announced stars Henry Cavill AND Daniel Quinn-Toye.
The film is directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Red notice, skyscraper, AND Central intelligence) from a screenplay he wrote with Ellen Shanman.
Speaking previously about the film, Thurber said: “I want to make sure we stay true to the heart and spirit of Voltron. In this film we will introduce a completely new generation of pilots.
“We’ve reinvented Voltron for the live-action world, but we’ll stay true to… those iconic elements that you love, that I love. And I’m so excited to share it with you.
There are no details to share regarding who the actors will play in the film.
Voltron: defender of the universe follows five young pilots in a battalion called the Robot Lions, who are vehicles that come together to form a mega robot known as Voltron.
Together they fight against Emperor Zarkon, the cruel leader of the Galra Empire, who has been searching the universe for the Voltron lions for over 10,000 years.
Todd Liebermann AND David Hobermann they are producing with Bob Coplarthe head of World Events Productions, the company that controls ownership of Voltron.
