The creator of ARCANE says it took 27 hours to write the final line of the series

Arcanehe is the co-creator Alex Yee he recently talked about working on the final season of the series and says he spent “an insane amount of time” writing the show’s final line.

A single line of dialogue took him 27 hours to understand. Speaking to GamesRadar+, Yee said: “I spent an insane amount of time on the last line of the show.

“It was literally 27 hours or something. I was just sitting there trying to say “what’s the line?” How do you end a show like this?'”

Yee says he didn’t want to Arcane Season 2 “feels like a political statement,” but he and co-creator Cristiano Linke say that it is difficult to completely “divorce” from the real world.

With that in mind, he explains the final sentence by saying, “When we talk about the state of the world, or the feeling of facing impossible situations or looking at impossible conflicts, I think in many ways, that sentence for me is talking about my opinion, or the my kind of hope.”

In the series, the Jinx sisters (Ella Purnell) and Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) find themselves trapped on opposite sides of a conflict in the utopian city of Piltover and its poor underbelly, Zaun.

In the cities of Piltover and Zaun, “tensions rise as inventors, thugs, politicians and crime lords grow increasingly dissatisfied with the constraints of a devastated society.

“With the situation on the brink of being untenable, two sisters steal an artifact of immeasurable power. Discovery and danger collide as heroes are born and bonds are broken. Will this power change the world? Or will it lead to ruin? This is the world of Arcane.

“In the midst of growing unrest between the wealthy, utopian city of Piltover and its squalid, downtrodden underbelly of Zaun, sisters Vi and Jinx find themselves on opposite sides of a brewing conflict over conflicting beliefs and arcane technologies.”

Speaking previously about the series, Purnell said: “Oh man, I’m trying to remember [season one] because it happened more than two years ago.

“I actually just went back to the studio to complete some ADR scenes for the season two finale – and I cried. So I think other people will cry too. It’s devastating and no one will feel good after seeing it.”

Netflix has revealed that the final season of Arcane debuted on November 9 and will return in three acts. The second act debuts on November 16 and the third act, the final act, will be released on November 23.
