Ryan Johnson is currently in the midst of making his third Knives out murder mystery film for Netflix, Wake Up Dead Man: A Mystery at Knives Out.
The first two films were a lot of fun, but it’s a shame we didn’t get to see them on the big screen in a room full of fans. I’m just one of those guys who loves watching movies in the cinema.
Daniel Craig he is enthusiastic about the upcoming film and would like to see it released in theaters too. He’s actually encouraging Netflix to make this happen.
While the first sequel, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, hit theaters for a week, Craig is hoping the next one has a longer run in theaters.
When asked if he wants the sequel to stay in theaters for more than a week, the actor said, “You know I do. Hopefully Netflix pushes it out a little bit and people can see it.
“The people I talk to – the fans, I guess – all they want to do is take their families and go see it in the cinema. That’s all they want to do. We hope to be able to offer them this experience.”
We’ll just have to wait and see what Netflx ends up doing, but it would be a shame if they didn’t give the film a longer theatrical run.
The cast of this new film includes Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis, Josh Brolin, Thomas Hayden Church, Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Andrea Scott, Kerry WashingtonAND Daryl McCormack.
There are no details on the matter yet, but Wake up, dead man expected to be released in 2025.
