It was recently reported that the two animated seasons Acrane The series cost over $250 million to produce, making it the most expensive animated series ever made.
We also learned that five seasons were initially planned for the series, but due to the show’s production costs they were cut down to two. But showrunner and co-creator Cristiano Linke doesn’t bring up any of this when asked about the show recently in an interview with CinemaBlend.
Linke is sticking to the story that they always planned two seasons and that they are just trying to keep the series from overstaying its welcome.
He said: “We always had a specific story in mind. Look, you could have stretched it out, I’m sure. But for us, it was always like we started with this in mind. I think there’s a personal angle to consider too.” . as creatives.
“We’ve all seen the TV shows where the writers are clearly running out of energy. How inspired are you and can you stay on the same thing, for how long?
“It’s been nine years for us, with these characters. I think there’s also an accountability aspect to this, where we’re like, this is what we had in mind.”
He added: “This is the story that we had in our head that we want to tell. It’s irresponsible to stretch it to the point where it feels like we can’t even do it justice. I think that was an important part of the story.” We don’t want to overdo it.”
When asked about season two, Linke said, “I don’t want to say too much about it. I mean, that’s the point. We’ve always wanted our world and our stories to feel like they have consequences, and death is the more serious thing.” consequence. Yes, it’s part of our narrative.”
Early reactions to Arcane season 2 are very positive, however, with one person saying: “The first act of Act 1 of Arcane season 2 is truly EPIC. I shed many tears (of joy and sadness) during these 3 episodes.” Another added: “Arcane season 2 began with exceptional promise, captivating audiences from the start.”
In the series, the Jinx sisters (Ella Purnell) and Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) find themselves trapped on opposite sides of a conflict in the utopian city of Piltover and its poor underbelly, Zaun.
In the cities of Piltover and Zaun, “tensions rise as inventors, thugs, politicians and crime lords grow increasingly dissatisfied with the constraints of a devastated society.
“With the situation on the brink of being untenable, two sisters steal an artifact of immeasurable power. Discovery and danger collide as heroes are born and bonds are broken. Will this power change the world? Or will it lead to ruin? This is the world of Arcane.
“In the midst of growing unrest between the wealthy, utopian city of Piltover and its squalid, downtrodden underbelly of Zaun, sisters Vi and Jinx find themselves on opposite sides of a brewing conflict over conflicting beliefs and arcane technologies.”
Arcane Season 2 releases its first three episodes on November 9, the next three on November 16, and its final three episodes on November 23.
