Matthew Lillard I recently opened up a little. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. In the first film, it was revealed that his meek character was actually the mastermind behind the killer animatronics, William Afton.
The first film was a lot of fun, but it looks like the sequel will please fans of the franchise a little more. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lillard teased what we can expect from the sequel.
The actor said the filmmakers listened to fans’ criticism: “‘I always come back’ is my last line in the movie, so I’ll come back, it’s fine.
“Here’s the great news: I think the fans fell in love with what we did, I think Scott [Cawthon, the Five Nights at Freddy’s creator] is the shepherd of this incredible project and I think collectively the filmmakers have listened to some of the criticism they’ve received and are growing as filmmakers.
“I think this movie is going to be a little different tonally, I think we’re going to have a lot more.”
When asked what he meant by that, Lillard added, “I think it’s going to be an action-packed movie, I think it’s going to be very emotional. Again, I think it’s all about the fans and I think they’re going to love it.” It.”
So, we will have a sequel that will lean more into the fandom of the franchise and deliver a movie that they will love.
Lillard also said that being in a franchise like this is a “game changer” for him at this stage of his career, and added, “Having a franchise like this is very exciting.”
Speaking previously about the film, Lillard said: “I will say that I think the filmmakers did a great job of learning from the first movie what the fans want, and I think they’re delivering a lot more.
“It will be more exciting and I think it will have more action. It will have a lot of character development stuff. It’s hard to kiss around. I think the story ends and this movie ends in a really emotional way.”
Josh Hutcherson he also previously spoke about the sequel, saying, “It’s much bigger; the stakes are higher. More animatronics are introduced, different animatronics are introduced and the world opens up in a big way.
He added: “We’re finding the balance right now between building this world and expanding it in a really interesting way, but also making sure the characters really stay grounded.
“I think that’s something that we all struggled with in the first movie, because the world that it was created in Five Nights at Freddy’sIt’s so out of the ordinary.
“It’s so exaggerated and outlandish, in a way, that finding the emotional truth of the characters would have been what would have worked.”
He added: “I think the fans are going to be angry about this. It will be a lot of fun with the source. It will be even scarier, actually.
Emma Tammi he is returning to direct the sequel, which will be released in December 2025.
