First photo of Jack Black as Satan Claus in the Farrelly brothers’ Christmas comedy DEAR SANTA

Here’s our first look Black Jack as Satan Claus in the upcoming Christmas comedy Dear Santa Claus. The film comes from Farrelly Brothers (Dumb and Dumber, There’s Something About Mary, Shallow Hal). I’ve also included a few more photos from the film below.

In the film “Young Liam Turner (Robert Timothy Smith) still believes in Santa Claus. To prove to all his incredulous friends that Santa Claus really exists, he writes a letter to the big boy inviting him to show himself.

“The only problem? Liam isn’t a very good speller and instead addresses the letter to Satan. Satan, who never receives letters from children, is flattered and goes to meet Liam. Hijinks, chaos and hilarity ensue.

This actually looks like it will make for a really fun movie! During an interview with EW, Bobby Farrelly said: “Jack is just that guy who with his arched eyebrows and his faces and everything, there’s always a little mischievous about him, but he’s extremely nice, and this is really Jack.

“We never wanted to turn it into a horror movie or anything like that. We wanted it to be comedic. So it was delicate to portray this iconic character, but do it in a way that the audience could enjoy. And Jack was the perfect guy.

The Farrelly brothers make it clear Dear Santa Claus it will be a family film. Peter Farrelly shared that his favorite part of the film is “the fantastic message” that comes through the film, “because Liam asked Satan to come accidentally, he can make some wishes, and it’s about those and what he does with those, and who becomes.” And, he jokes, “There’s a nice twist at the end.”

It’s also in the cast Keegan-Michael Key, Brianne Howey, Hayes MacArthur, PJ Byrne, Jaden Carson Baker, Kai Cech AND Austin Post.

Dear Santa Claus will arrive on Paramount+ and Digital on November 25, 2024.
