John Krasinski will be the protagonist of a Jack Ryan film in development at Amazon MGM Studios. Krasinski played Ryan over the course of four seasons of a great show. This film will obviously continue the franchise and, if successful, could lead to more films.
Wendell Piercewho starred alongside Krasinski in the series, will also star in the film Michael Kelly in negotiations to resume his role.
Andrew Bernstein, who served as executive producer and director on the second season of the Jack Ryan series, will direct from a script written by Aaron Rabin, who served as co-executive producer and writer on the series’ fourth season.
I like Krasinski as Jack Ryan, so I’m happy to see he’s returning to the character, this time for a politically charged action movie.
The film is produced in association with Paramount Pictures and Skydance. The one from Skydance David Ellison AND Dana Goldberg he will also be executive producer John Kelly AND Carlton Cuse.
