In a new episode of Tested, Savage Adam visits the Prop Store in London where it showcases some of the original stop-motion creatures created by artist Ray Harryhausen.
The video is accompanied by the following note: “Adam gets close to the iconic stop-motion creatures created and created by Ray Harryhausen for films like Jason and the Argonauts and Sinbad’s Golden Voyage!
“From the towering Talos to the sword-wielding Kali statue, these lighting test maquettes and conservation casts of the original puppets were all made by Harryhausen himself, showcasing the legendary effects artist’s design sensibilities and creature aesthetics .”
Being a huge fan of Harryhausen’s work, it’s so cool to see that some of these stop-motion puppets still exist and Savage is so lucky to see them in person!
