The Evocation: Last Rite has begun production and this will be the fourth and final film in the successful horror series. Creator and director James Wan celebrated the occasion with a photo from the set and a moving comment on social media.
On his Instagram account, Wan shared a photo of Patrick Wilson AND Vera Farmigaon set, which reads “Ed Warren” and “Lorraine Warren” respectively.
The photo was accompanied by a note: “It’s always great to see and hang out with old friends. I’ll miss everyone. End of an era.”
The film is directed by Michele Chaveswhich he also directed The Conjuring: The devil made me do it AND The Nun II.
David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrickwho co-wrote the third installment with Wan, wrote the film’s screenplay, and Wan is producing with Peter Safran.
There are no details to share, but the story will once again focus on supernatural investigators Ed and Lorrain Warren and one of their disturbing investigations.
I’m curious to find out which Warren supernatural case the next film will be based on. I just hope they end the franchise with an amazing, scary horror movie!
