DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN is described as “as problematic and scary as the world of GAME OF THRONES”

Many Marvel fans are curious and excited to see what Daredevil: Born Again delivers when it comes to Disney+. The development of the series had some pretty big hiccups and complications, but hopefully the creative team managed to come up with something fantastic.

Marvel Studios head of streaming, television and animation Brad Winderbaum recently reiterated how gory and dark the series will be.

During an appearance on ABC’s On The Red Carpet Storytellers Spotlight stage at D23, Winderbaum made a comparison Born again to HBO game of Thrones.

He explained: “Imagine if New York City was as intricate and troubled and scary as the world of Game of Thrones. All these forces competing for control, and sometimes it can be really hopeful, sometimes really violent, and dark, but Plus there’s light at the end of the tunnel if only I could fight for it.”

I’m sure Marvel fans like the sound of this thing. Winderbaum previously spoke about the series’ brutal action, saying, “I will tell you that some of the most brutal action we’ve ever brought to the screen is coming.” Daredevil: Born Againwhich isn’t a horror show, but it actually packs a lot of power and there’s a lot of visceral action, to say the least.

Daredevil: Born Again meets Matt Murdock, “a blind lawyer with high abilities, and his nemesis, Wilson Fisk, who is pursuing his own political endeavors in New York.”

Winderbaum had previously compared the show to X-Men ’97: “Daredevil is amazing. It’s similar in some ways X-Men ’97 because he’s reviving something fans love. But he’s taking it in a new direction.

He went on to tease how things have changed, saying, “These characters have matured, the universe is different than it was. Things have changed, society has changed. Matt and Wilson have changed.

“And their characters will collide in ways we’ve never seen before. It’s no longer enough to try to kill each other. There is a whole political game at stake.”

Daredevil: Born Again is currently under development by the administrators Justin Benson AND Aaron Moorheadwho worked on both Knight of the Moon AND Loki.

The series is the protagonist Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Vincenzo D’Onofrio as Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, e Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna-Fisk.

It’s also in the cast Margherita Levieva, Michele Gandolfini, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Jeremy Earl, and more.

Daredevil: Born Again will arrive on Disney+ in March 2025.
