The second season of the live-action Star Wars series Ahsoka it will reportedly go into production next year. This update comes from The Hollywood Reporter, whose sources indicate that production will begin in 2025.
Dave Filoni has already been developing the story and scripts for the next chapter of the story for a while, but it was officially announced in January, so it makes sense that production would be ready to start in the near future.
No plot details have been provided yet, but Filoni has shared some concept art that suggests the World Between Worlds could be a major factor in upcoming episodes.
The art is a sketch featuring Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) and Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) standing on the figure of the giant Godfather Mortis statue. The image was accompanied by the caption: “The story continues.”
Ahsoka is set after the fall of the Empire and “follows former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.” Season 2 will continue that journey, and with Grand Admiral Thrawn, Baylan Skoll, and Shin Hati on the loose, it will be interesting to see where the story goes next.
Ahosoka even stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead like Hera Syndulla, the deceased Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant like Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.
I’m sure we’ll see Hayden Christensen they also return to take on the role of Anakin Skywalker.
