The iconic X-MEN character will appear in AVENGERS: SECRET WARS

Fans are gearing up for another major Avengers saga in the form of the two films Avengers: Judgment Day AND Avengers: Secret Wars.

These two films will be equally monumental Avengers: Infinity War AND End of gamesin which we saw our MCU heroes unite for a great cause and engage in a battle of epic proportions.

We can speculate on who might be new to the group, knowing that we will definitely see the new one Fantastic 4 crew, as well as Deadpool and Wolverine, and perhaps some of their friends. But a new rumor teases another iconic X-Men character we could count on.

This may not be true, but if it is, consider this your spoiler alert.

According to an industry-controlled scoop MTTSH (via CBM), Sir Patrick Stewart will reprise his role as the original Professor Charles Xavier on the big screen.

Stewart has already made his MCU debut for a brief appearance as Professor X Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessbut that variant of the mutant leader comes to a sudden and somewhat unpleasant end at the hands of Scarlet Witch. We thought it would be the last time we would see the Star Trek legend in this role, but it looks like he has at least one more superhero movie in him.

Secret Wars Plot details are still a mystery, but there have been plenty of rumors floating around. One thing we know for sure is that Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom will play a major role in the story after making his debut in Judgment Day.

Avengers: Judgment Day arrives in theaters on May 1, 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on May 7, 2027. Both films will be directed by the Russo brothers, who will also make their return to the MCU after directing Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War AND Avengers: Endgame.
