Director Faith Alvarez’S Alien: Romulus just broke a box office record, becoming the highest-grossing horror film of all time in IMAX theaters, with $40 million in tickets grossed in IMAX theaters alone.
The film is also currently the highest-grossing horror film of the year, with $101 million domestically and $331 million worldwide. The film is still going strong at the box office, with no domestic release announced at this time.
This is a great one Alien film, and it deserves all the love it’s getting from fans, audiences and critics. I hope it stays in theaters a little longer because I want to see it one last time before it goes away.

Cailee Spaeny (The Craft: Legacy, Pacific Rim: Uprising) leads the cast together Isabella Merced, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Spike Fearn AND Aileen Wu.
Fede Alvarez co-wrote the screenplay with Rodo Sayagues (evil Dead). Ridley Scott is on board as a producer of the film, the first film in the saga to be distributed by Disney.
Alien: Romulus is based on the characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett.
