A new report has surfaced claiming that the British team at Rocksteady Studios is working on a new Batman game. It is also rumored that this game could be exclusive to the PS5 or PS6.
Apparently Rocksteady started working on the Batman game last summer after the game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League completely bombed. After this happened many assumed that the studio, which had developed the Batman: Arkham games, would return to what they knew was a success.
The report comes from Xbox Era’s Nick Baker on X. Baker has proven himself to be reliable in the past with numerous leaks and reports, but there’s still no official confirmation that this is actually happening.
Baker says he heard that Rocksteady is back making Batman and thinks “Sony is trying to make money.” In case you’re not familiar with the term, Moneyhatting refers to the act of using financial incentives or bribes to gain an advantage, usually over a competitor.
If Sony is the studio that funded the game, it’s reasonable to assume that it will most likely be a PS5 or PS6 exclusive, or both, depending on when it releases.
Again, these are just rumors at this point, so we’ll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.
