Mondo has a fantastic poster for the classic 1980 horror film for sale The ShapeshifterThe print was created by artist David Seidman, and if you’ve never seen this film, you should!

The artist stated: “As an artist whose work is heavily influenced by disturbing imagery, THE CHANGELING is a film that conveys a lot through its narrative, atmosphere and imagery.

“The abandoned antique wheelchair and the possessed red ball have become so influential in the horror genre and icons in their own right. Using these objects prominently helped me craft the scene to perfectly capture the tone and feel of one of my favorite haunted house films.”

Artistic Director Josh Manderville said: “Working with Joel Michaels, the producer of THE CHANGELING, we shared the work of David Seidman alongside examples of classic horror paperbacks from the ’70s and ’80s.

“We wanted to honor the narrative of the original one-sheet with the eerie surrealism of David’s work. Seidman captures the classic style of horror cover art using the mysterious pieces of the puzzle that allowed John Russell to uncover the truth behind the Carmichael house and make amends with its ghosts.”

The Shapeshifter is a psychological horror film directed by Peter Medak. The story follows John Russell (George C. Scott), a composer grieving the recent loss of his wife and daughter. Seeking solace, he moves into a creepy old mansion in Seattle to focus on his work.

However, his peaceful retreat turns dark when he begins to experience unexplainable supernatural events within the house. Strange noises, disturbing visions, and the presence of a mysterious child’s spirit compel John to investigate the mansion’s history.

He uncovers a chilling mystery involving the spirit of a young boy murdered decades earlier, leading him on a path of disturbing revelations.

As the ghostly encounters intensify, John discovers that the child’s death was part of a larger conspiracy involving powerful figures. His investigation into the haunting brings him face to face with terrifying truths, as the ghost seeks revenge.

The film masterfully builds suspense and terror, emphasizing psychological horror over gore, which is my favorite horror film. The film is praised for its slow-burning tension and haunting depiction of grief intertwined with supernatural mystery.
