Stephen King considers this action film a reference: the film can be watched on Netflix

The king of horror, Stephen King, has repeatedly proven to his fans that he is on the same wavelength with them – and is even ready to discuss the latest streaming news and share his own recommendations. So recently, King addressed his audience on social networks, praising the new crime action film “Rebel Ridge”, calling it one of the best films of this year. The writer’s fans did not hesitate – and also decided to evaluate the new product, bringing the film to the second place on the Netflix world map.

“Rebel Ridge” was released on streaming on September 6 and got off to a successful start with rave reviews from critics, earning the film an impressive rating in 96%. The plot of the film revolves around former military man Terry Richmond, who comes to the town of Shelby Springs to post bail for his cousin, or he will soon find himself behind bars.

Things don’t go according to plan when Terry is arrested by local police and all of his savings are seized on suspicion of drug trafficking. Unable to get his own money back legally, Terry finds another solution. With the help of an accomplice, he gets involved in an even more confusing situation.

After spending about two weeks on streaming, “Rebel Ridge” has also received recognition from the audience – they rated the film 69% on Rotten Tomatoes. Many of the users probably took Stephen King’s advice, although it’s almost impossible to predict the eminent writer’s reaction to this or that film – but ‘Rebel Ridge’ apparently managed to impress the straight-talking King.
