The trailer offers a thrilling new look at the adventure Lara Croft finds herself on as she faces and battles her inner demons. It also features plenty of fun action!
actress (Captain America: The First Avenger, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One) is the protagonist of the series and lends her voice to Lara Croft.
The series is set after the events of the video game reboot trilogy. “Lara Croft, one of the most iconic adventurers in gaming, makes her anime debut in an all-new series.
“Picking up the events of the highly successful Tomb Raider video game reboot trilogy, the animated series will follow the globetrotting heroine’s final epic adventure. Twenty-five years after her first game, Lara continues to explore new territory.”
Speaking previously about the series and previewing her preparation for the series and her voice, Atwell said, “The scripts are so beautiful and so funny.”
He added: “I also think I had so much practice and preparation on how to sustain the level of activity and energy just with your voice playing Captain Carter in this way, that it put me in a position to say, ‘Here’s how you, as a voice actor, are confined to a small, unseen space, but you’re totally relying on your voice to tell this story and spark other people’s imaginations.’ So yeah, one thing definitely helped fuel the other.”
The anime is written and produced by Tasha Huo. Dimitri M. Johnson, Stephen Bugaj, Howard’s HappinessAND Jacob Robinson will also oversee the series as producers.
The series will debut on Netflix on October 10.
