Netflix is producing a new supernatural mystery series with The Duffer Brothers (Stranger things) titled The neighborhoodsand the main cast has been revealed.
Alfredo Molina, Geena Davis, Alfred Woodard, Denis O’Hare, Dr. Clarke PetersAND The Pullman Account will star in The Boroughs, a series about elderly people saving the world from an otherworldly threat.
The synopsis reads: “In a seemingly picturesque retirement community in the New Mexico desert, a group of unlikely heroes must band together to stop an otherworldly threat from stealing the one thing they don’t have… time.”
Alfredo Molina (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Three Pines) plays Sam, Geena Davis (Beetle Juice, Girls aside) plays Renee, Alfre Woodard (Clemency, Salem’s Lot) plays Judy, Denis O’Hare (American Horror Story, this is us) plays Wally, Clarke Peters (From 5 Blood, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) plays Art and Bill Pullman (The Sinner, independence Day) plays Jack.
The Duffer Brothers previously said in a statement: “We’ve been fans of Jeff and Will’s writing for a long time and when they approached us with their idea for The neighborhoodswe immediately understood that they had something very special in their hands. While the heroes in The neighborhoods they are a few years older than the boys of Stranger thingsThey’re an equally lovable bunch of misfits, and we can’t wait for you to join them.
Ben Taylor (Sex education, catastrophe) will serve as executive producer and direct numerous episodes, including the pilot.
Eight episodes have been ordered, with by Hilary Leavitt also executive producer.
