20th Century Studios and director Dan Trachtenberg they have started production on the next Predator film, which is titled Wastelandsin New Zealand, and the first details of the story have emerged.
Elle Fanning will star in the film, which is set “sometime in the future,” and thanks to AvPGalaxy.net, they’ve shared a leaked casting call that offers details on the characters and story.
The synopsis reads: “A groundbreaking film in which one of the two main plots delves into the intricate bond between two very different sisters; their family bonds are put to the ultimate test as they pursue divergent paths and missions.”
The film is said to star twin sisters, meaning this will be a double role for Fanning. There is also more information about these characters.
“The first, Thia, identifies as female or non-binary, open ethnicity, between 20 and 40 years old. Thia has spent most of her life in a lab and is now embarking on her first big adventure in the world.
She is incredibly intelligent, witty, enthusiastic and unflappable. She has an innate disdain for danger, not because she is fearless, but simply because she is naive. Strong comedic skills are required.
The other sister, Tessa, has a militant intensity when it comes to achieving her family’s goals and the mission’s objectives. She won’t let anything stand in her way, not even her twin sister.”
The casting notice also states that the actress “must be comfortable training for intense action scenes and wearing prosthetics and heavy makeup.”
It’s not yet known how the Predator will enter the story, but at some point it will find itself on Earth for a hunting trip and most likely these twin sisters will clash with it.
