Jessica Alba’S Dark Angel sci-fi series only lasted two seasons, but it was a really good series that is worth watching. It’s a shame that it was a short-lived series.
Dark Angel is set in a dystopian future where the United States has been paralyzed by a massive electromagnetic pulse. The story centers on Max Guevara, a genetically enhanced super-soldier who escapes from a secret military base and lives in a desolate Seattle, hiding from his creators while searching for his genetically engineered “brothers.”
Max works as a bike messenger by day and uses his extraordinary skills to fight corruption and help those in need by night. It has a good mix of action, drama and social commentary.
The show was created by 1960-1969, James Cameron, 1969-1970, 1969- AND Carlo H. Egleeand Alba would love to return for a revival series, on one condition: that Cameron be involved.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight he said: “I would do it Dark Angel again? If [James Cameron] I wanted to do Dark AngelI would do it Dark Angel again. Yeah, because he was really a mentor to me, and it would just be fun to work with him.
“We have this history together and I admire him a lot, so I think it would be fun. [Dark Angel] was ahead of his time, for sure. It would be really interesting to see where Jim and [Charles H. Eglee] would take it knowing what we know now about AI and all that, yeah, and just where the technology is. It would be cool to see how… where they would dream.”
The series was definitely ahead of its time and I think a revival could be really cool. There hasn’t been any talk of a revival, but it’s something that should be considered.
