Here’s the trailer for an upcoming boxing drama film titled Day of strugglewhich has as protagonists Ron Perlman, Michael Pitt, Joe PesciAND Steve Buscemi. This really looks like an amazing movie! I was really impressed by this trailer.
In the film, “On the day of his first fight after being released from prison, Mikey (Pitt), a once-celebrated boxer, embarks on a journey of redemption through his past and present, putting his life at risk because of a medical condition known only to him.
“Throughout the day, Mikey visits influential figures in his life, encouraging him to move past his checkered past. After a momentous match at Madison Square Garden, a twist reveals that this day was never really about boxing for Mikey.”
The film is described as an “underdog story of introspection, self-denial and forgiveness that asks the question: How far are we willing to go for the people we love?”
The film was written and directed by Jack Huston, who spoke about the film saying, “I am incredibly grateful to be able to bring Day of the Fight to theaters this fall.
“My goal was to create something honest and relatable about the complexities of life, that asks the eternal question: how far are we willing to go for the people we love.
“I’ve been fortunate to have worked with the most incredible cast, who brought these characters to life with such passion, anchored by Michael C. Pitt’s achingly beautiful performance. Plus a crew whose hard work and tenacity shows in every frame.”
She added: “I loved every second of making this film and can’t wait to share it.”
It looks like a great movie that is worth watching and is scheduled to be released on November 15, 2024.
