Here’s an interesting project in development at Columbia Pictures. The studio is looking to make a new Anaconda film, but what makes this project so interesting is the fact that Paul Rudd AND Black Jack he might end up acting in the movie.
The two actors are currently in talks to join the film, which will be directed by Tom Gormican, who previously directed Nicola’s Cage In The unbearable weight of enormous talentHe is also co-writer of the film.
According to the report, the new story is about “a group of friends facing midlife crises who are remaking their favorite movie from their youth. They head to the rainforest only to find themselves fighting for their lives against natural disasters, giant snakes, and violent criminals.”
If cast, one actor would play “a former filmmaker, a man stuck in his job as a wedding videographer,” while the other would play an actor who had a stint on a crime series but finds his Hollywood dreams slipping further and further away.
This sounds like it would be a fun movie! The project has been in development at the studio since early 2023 and has gone through numerous rewrites as the director tries to find the right tone.
The original film starred Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, Ice cube AND Jon Voightand follows a National Geographic film crew on the hunt for the world’s largest and deadliest snake, only to discover the tables have turned.
