Lionsgate Pulls Final Trailer for Francis Ford Coppola’s MEGALOPOLIS Due to False Quotes

Lionsgate has pulled the director’s latest trailer Francis Ford Coppolathe new film of Megalopolis after it was revealed that many of the quotes criticizing the film were made up.

There has been some controversy over the false critic quotes, and Lionsgate released the following statement apologizing for the error:

“Lionsgate is immediately recalling our trailer for Megalopolis. We offer our sincere apologies to the critics involved and to Francis Ford Coppola and American Zoetrope for this inexcusable error in our review process. We made a mistake. We are sorry.”

The quotes present in the Megalopolis The trailer included previous “criticisms” of Coppola’s now iconic works, such as The Godfather AND Apocalypse now. One says The Godfather is “dwarfed by its artistry,” and another calls it a “sloppy, self-indulgent film.”

The purpose of all this was to highlight the polarizing criticism of Coppola’s work and how a film like Megalopolis It will ultimately stand the test of time and become a classic like many other Coppola films.

I understand the approach they’re taking to marketing the film, but it’s weird that they decided to make up a lot of the quotes.

In any case, all this controversy about the quotes is also a good way to promote the film.

The stars of the film Adam Driverand tells the intriguing story of an architect who dreams of a utopian version of New York City in the near future and his battle with the conservative mayor, who has different ideas about the city.

Contained within the epic are a myriad of plots and characters. “The fate of Rome haunts a modern world unable to solve its own social problems in this epic tale of political ambition.”

Coppola described the film as “a love story. A woman is torn between loyalty to two men. But not just two men. Each man has a philosophical principle.

“One is her father who raised her, who taught her Latin on his knee and is devoted to a much more classical vision of society, a vision similar to that of Marcus Aurelius.

“The other one, who is the lover, is the enemy of the father but is dedicated to a ‘Let’s jump into the future, let’s jump over all this garbage that has contaminated humanity for 10,000 years. Let’s find what we really are, which is an enlightened, friendly, joyful species.'”

Coppola also spoke about the film and its purpose, saying, “My first goal is always to make a film with all my heart, so I started to realize that it would be about love and loyalty in every aspect of human life.”

He explained: “Megalopolis echoed these sentiments, where love was expressed in an almost crystalline complexity, our planet in danger and our human family almost in an act of suicide, to become a very optimistic film that has faith in the human being as the possessor of the genius to cure any problem that is placed before us.”

The director added: “I believe in America. Our founders borrowed a constitution, Roman law, and a senate for their revolutionary government without a king. American history could not have happened or succeeded without classical learning to guide it.”

The film’s cast also includes Actors: Shia LaBeouf, Forest Whitaker, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jon Voight, Aubrey Square, Jason Schwartzman, Author: Laurence Fishburne, Grace VanderWaal, Kathryn’s Hunter, James Remar, County of Talia.
