During D23’s Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase this weekend, Disney Experiences President Josh D’Amaro announced that a new attraction inspired by the The Avatar the franchise is coming to Disneyland.
While Disney World’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida, already boasts its own Pandora—The World of Avatar based on James Cameron’s original 2009 film, Anaheim’s new attraction will draw inspiration from Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) and future episodes.
Imagineer Ali Rubin has unveiled concept art for the upcoming attraction, which will take guests “on the adventure of a lifetime in search of the majestic natural wonders found only on Pandora and the beauty — and danger — that come with the journey.
This exciting new excursion will bring all the action, excitement and wonder of Avatar, taking guests to the open seas of Pandora.”
The announcement comes after Cameron revealed that the title of the upcoming third film will be Avatar: Fire and Ash during Friday’s D23 presentation, where he was joined by stars Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña, ahead of the film’s scheduled premiere on December 19, 2025.
Cameron unveiled concept art of the sequel’s Na’Vi fire people, telling the crowd, “New cultures and environments… you’ll see more of the planet Pandora than you’ve ever seen before. The new movie is not what you expect, but it’s definitely what you want.”
Check out the concept art above and below and let us know if you’re excited about this new Pandora world at Disneyland.
