One project unveiled at this weekend’s D23 convention was a sequel to the hit 2003 comedy Crazy Friday.
The film has got an official title, Strangest Fridayand the stars of the film, My Friend Jamie Lee Curtis AND lindsay lohanseemed to show some love to the fans and tease the audience a bit with some previews of the next film.
Lohan told the Honda Center audience during Disney’s Entertainment Showcase, “It’s more fun, it’s more emotional, and it’s all for you guys. Really, the only reason we’re back here doing this is because of your love. That’s why.” Curtis added that “it feels like we’re picking up right where we left off, which is really cool.”
As they spoke, a giant screen displayed behind-the-scenes photos, including a recreation of the iconic moment when Lohan and Curtis’ mother-daughter duo realize they’ve been body-swapped in the original film.
Lohan and Curtis will be joined again by co-stars Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, My life is beautiful, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky AND Rosalind Chao.
New arrivals include Sophia Hammons, Maitreya RamakrishnanAND Jordan E. Cooper.
Nisha Ganatra (The high note, late at night) is directing. Kristin Burr and Andrew Gunn are producing. Jordan Weiss wrote the screenplay.
Strangest Friday will hit theaters nationwide in 2025.
