Nintendo has released the trailer for its next video game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants UnleashedThis gives us our first look at the gameplay, and it looks like the kind of game that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans will enjoy.
The game comes from the publisher Outright Games and the game’s story takes place after the events of the animated film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
The game also features returning villains including Rocksteady and Leatherhead. There will also be some new characters introduced in the story. The character designs for the game were created by Woodrow White, who worked as lead character designer on Mutant Chaos.
The trailer came out with the following synopsis: “Everyone’s favorite crime-fighting brothers are back with action-packed brawls, hilarious antics and a whole lot of pizza! Join Leo, Raph, Donnie and Mikey on an adventure to fight a sickness spreading through the city.”
The game’s campaign can be played solo or with a friend in two-player co-op. Each character will have their own unique playstyle, and players can unlock new moves through that turtle’s skill tree.
The levels will feature “a dynamic day and night cycle” and players will be able to explore the game’s New York City environments by speeding down the tracks on skateboards.
The game also features the familiar voices of Nicolas Cantu (Leonardo), Brady Noon (Raphael), Micah’s Abbey (Donatello) and by Shamon Brown Jr. (Michelangelo).
The game will be released on October 18th.
