Disney has released a short video online that gives us our first look at the CGI-animated version of Stitch from the film Lilo & Stitch.
In the film, “Lilo is a lonely Hawaiian girl who adopts a small, ugly “dog,” whom she names Stitch. Stitch would be the perfect pet if he weren’t actually a genetic experiment who escaped from an alien planet and crash-landed on Earth.
“Through her love, faith and unwavering belief in ohana, the Hawaiian concept of family, Lilo helps unlock Stitch’s heart and gives him the ability to care for someone else.”
The cast includes the newcomer May Kealohawho plays Lilo; Billy Magnussen like the one-eyed alien Pleakley, Elizabeth Agudong (NCIS) as Nani, Lilo’s older sister and legal guardian, the original voice of Nani, Tia Carrerewill play a new character called Mrs. Kekoa, while the actress Amy Hillwho played Mrs. Hasagawa in the film and anime series, will play a new character named Tūtū.
Zach Galifianakis He is also the protagonist and will play the confirmed role of Stitch’s creator scientist, Jumba.
Dean Fleischer Field (Marcel the shell with the shoes) will direct the remake which will be released on Disney+. Chris Kekaniokalani Bright wrote the screenplay for the adaptation.
