Reebok Unveils Limited-Edition ALIEN: ROMULUS Sneakers

Reebok has announced that it will be releasing a limited edition Alien: Romulus shoe that is a modified version of the futuristic Reebok “Alien Stompers” worn by Ripley and Bishop in Aliens.

The shoes are called the “Reebok Alien Romulus” and will retail for $170. The shoes were designed specifically for the film, and Reebok has released replicas in recent years, making them highly sought-after by fans and sneaker collectors.

The description reads: “For the release of Alien: RomulusThe popular franchise is ready to reignite the emotions with the commercial release of a unique and compelling piece of footwear that will be worn throughout the upcoming film.”

Pulled from the archive and built on Reebok Basketball’s iconic BB4000 II frame, the “Reebok Alien Romulus” is designed to take on big bugs, featuring an all-leather upper, a film-worn finish, Weyland-Yutani branding on the tongue and heel, an EVA foam midsole, and a solid rubber cupsole with a grippy traction pattern for a secure grip, among other Easter eggs.

The Reebok x Alien collaboration stands as one of the most epic film-footwear mashups to date, with the “Alien Stomper” boot worn in the 1986 film maintaining its “Grail” status in contemporary sneaker culture. The brands would team up for further product collaborations in 2016 (for the 30th anniversary of Aliens) and 2019-20 (for the 40th anniversary of the original 1979 film).
