On August 3, the fantasy action movie “Deadpool and Wolverine” starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman was released in Russia. Actors portraying other characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe joined them on the set. But the audience still hasn’t seen any of them.
The film’s screenwriters, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, said they wrote a special part for Robert Downey Jr. In the form of Iron Man. According to them, the artist wanted to call Jon Favreau, who played Tony Stark’s bodyguard Happy Hogan, to the film. All conditions were agreed with Robert. They were supposed to be in the same scene with Ryan Reynolds.
However, it was later revealed that Robert couldn’t return to the role of Iron Man because he was going to play Doctor Doom in the new version of The Avengers. What was the writers’ idea? Tony rejects Wade Wilson because he’s not a team player. The writers also imagined the fact that all of the Avengers would reject Deadpool working together.
“Wilson’s Wade would berate all of the Avengers in a way that only he could,” Paul Wernick said in an interview with Indie Wire. “Deadpool would get angry and attack every single one of them in the most brutal way possible,” Rhett Reese added.
