Jennifer Garner Shares Electra’s Workout Video and Ryan Reynolds Releases His Official Photos From DEADPOOL and WOLVERINE

actress Jennifer Garner shared a video of herself training to fight while reprising her role as Electra for Deadpool and Wolverine.

She shared a note with the video discussing how she became “Marvel Fit” and the journey to reprising the role of Electra after 20 years.

Garner said: “I remember the moment @slevydirect and @vancityreynolds had the idea to have Elektra Natchios appear in @deadpoolmovie 3: we were on the set of The Adam Project and they exchanged this look that manages to communicate an idea, 20 pages of dialogue, nuclear codes: there is a crazy artistic spell between those two.

“Aside from trying to convince my kids’ preschool classmates that I was secretly a ninja, I hadn’t picked up Elektra’s sais since 2004; I was fit, but not @marvel fit. 🥷🏻👵🏼

“As this impossible dream became a reality, my best friend and OG stunt double @shaunaduggins and I ramped up our training, led by @bethjnicely at @thelimitfit: 1x/day, plus whatever homework she assigned me for a second workout. Boxing 3x/week with @flvcothefuture at @matchroomxchurchillgym.

“And lots of @becsgentry from @onepeloton. 💃🏻🏋🏻‍♀️🥊🏃🏻‍♀️🏊🏻‍♀️ We had #SuperHeroSummer here, twirling our sais in the yard and laughing at our sore old bodies.

“I didn’t know Elektra and I needed an ending, but Shawn and Ryan did. They’re gifted in so many ways, but seeing and uplifting the people around them is at the top of the list. Shauna and I were in heaven on set with them, with my old friend @thehughjackman, @dafnekeen, @channingtatum, @realwesleysnipes.

“Shooting the fight was so much fun, being there all together, really like a dream. I’m proud of my friends and grateful to be there with them. Thank you is not enough guys, but it’s a good placeholder until I figure out what is. ⚔️♥️”

She then shared a post with several official photos of Garner as Electra in Deadpool and Wolverine and also shared a note with them saying that Garner “has a black belt in Nice.”

He said: “This person @jennifer.garner. She has a black belt in beauty, but inside she has an unflappable Hurricane of Vengeance™️. I’ve worked with Jen twice. She brings a completely different skill set to each film, but she can’t hide one detail…

“I don’t care how talented someone is, you can’t hide humanity. She’s not just one of my favorite artists, she’s one of my favorite people. I love her and I will forever owe her a favor. Or five. What a dancer.”

The two obviously had a blast working on the film together, and have a lot of respect for each other. It’s awesome that they were able to make that happen! While Electra It wasn’t the best movie, it was really nice to see Garner reprise her role after all these years.
