DEADPOOL and WOLVERINE Actor Takes Home World Record From Hugh Jackman

Deadpool and Wolverine is blowing up the box office and breaking all kinds of records. Now we have learned that one of the cameo actors in the film has achieved a world record and takes that world record away from the star of the film Hugh Jackman!

Guinness World Records has announced that Blade actor Wesley Snipes now holds the world record for longest career as a live-action Marvel character.

Jackman held the record for playing Wolverine for 24 years, after first appearing as Logan in 2000’s X-Men. Wesley Snipes first played the character in 1998’s Blade, so when he appeared in Deadpool & Wolverine, he bridged the 26-year gap.

Speaking of which, Snipes also broke the record for the longest gap between character appearances in a Marvel film, with Deadpool and Wolverine coming out 19 years and 231 days after 2004’s Blade: Trinity, which also starred Ryan Reynolds.

Snipes takes that record away from Alfredo Molinawhose return as Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man: No Way Home It arrived 17 years later Spiderman 2.

Snipes’ Blade was part of a motley crew in The Void that also included Daphne Keen’s X-23/Laura, Jennifer GarnerElectra, and My First Encounter with Channing TatumGambit of.

Speaking about his return to Blade, Snipes previously said: “I thought it didn’t make sense to me, but [when] you get a call from Ryan Reynolds out of the blue after 20 years, you’re like, ‘OK, I have to take this call. Let’s see what it’s about.’ He told me the idea… They said ‘yes’ and ‘we’re off.’ ‘If you’re in, we’re in.’ Here we are.”
