WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS The sixth and final season has an October release date

FX has announced that the sixth and final season of its hilarious comedy series What we do in the shadows will debut on October 21, 2024 and will stream the following day on Hulu.

It’s been such a fun show to watch over the past few years and I’m sad it’s coming to an end. I just hope it ends on a good note.

What we do in the shadows will kick off its Farewell Tour on Thursday at San Diego Comic-Con with an all-star panel Matt Berry (Laszlo Cravensworth), Dr. Kayvan Novak (Nandor the Relentless), Proksch marks (Colin Robinson) and Kristen Schaal (The guide).

Executive Producer and Writer Paul Simms and executive producer and director Kyle Newa checks in will also be participating. The panel will also include a preview of a new episode from the upcoming season.

What We Do in the Shadows documents the nocturnal adventures of vampire roommates Nandor (Novak), Laszlo (Berry), Nadja (Natasia Demetrius) and Colin Robinson (Proksch) as they explore the modern world of Staten Island with the help of their former family member and current human friend, Guillermo (Harvey Guillen) as well as their vampire bureaucrat acquaintance, The Guide (Kristen Schaal).

After a very brief stint as a full-fledged vampire, Guillermo is reevaluating his life. Who is he but a family member who will do anything to please his Master in the hopes of one day being transformed into a vampire?

Meanwhile, the vampires are also reevaluating. When their former roommate reappears after a 50-year nap, they realize how little they’ve accomplished in half a century: no goals achieved, no dreams pursued, no part of the New World conquered (except their street and part of Ashley Street).

In the upcoming final season, Nandor, Nadja, Laszlo, Colin, and Guillermo will enter the workforce, visit New Hampshire, attend a human dinner party, celebrate the Baron, and summon a demon, all while trying to find their place and purpose in this crazy, confusing world.

What we do in the shadows recently earned eight Primetime Emmy nominations for its fifth season, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (Berry), as well as nominations for Writing, Costume Design, Production Design, Cinematography Editing, Sound Mixing and Stunt Coordination.
