Kevin Feige Talks to Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman About Their Future in the MCU

As we expected, Deadpool and Wolverine It won’t be the last time we see each other My name is Ryan Reynolds. AND Hugh Jackman play these Marvel characters! The dynamic duo will eventually return to the MCU, and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is already talking to them about their future.

During a recent interview with Collider, Feige was asked about Reynolds and Jackman’s future in the MCU and he replied:

“Definitely, ‘Let’s do it.’ But as we’re sitting here talking, and the movie comes out in a week, and the movie’s been finished for a couple weeks, there’s definitely been a lot of discussions of, ‘That was fun. What should we do now?'”

It will be interesting to see what Marvel does with these characters in the future. Deadpool and Wolverine It’s said to be a standalone film, but the events contained within it will send ripples through the wider MCU as well. What those ripples are remains to be seen.

But with Deadpool and Wolverine predicted to be a huge box office success for Marvel and Disney, you can bet your ass they will want to continue playing with these characters! We don’t know what it will be like yet.

Previously speaking about the upcoming Marvel film, Feige called it “the most wholesome R-rated movie anyone could ever see.”

Feige was asked if Deadpool and Wolverine It was “the beginning of a bolder era” for the MCU, he responded: “I think we’ve been bold in the past, but my favorite thing is that we’re crossing all kinds of genres and tones.

“I think it’s gotten a lot of attention that this is our first R-rated movie, but it’s the third R-rated Deadpool movie, so we wanted to stay true to what Ryan has built over the last two movies and not mess with that.”

He continued: “I will say that Hugh and Ryan have talked about it, and I think people can tell from the trailer and the press tour so far, yes, it’s R-rated, yes, there’s some language and blood, but the movie is incredibly emotional.”

He goes on to explain, “I still call it the most wholesome R-rated movie anyone could ever see. It’s really a celebration of friendship, family, and reunited family.

“I don’t want to overstate it, but despite all the R-rated profanity that’s in there, when people see the movie, what’s going to strike them is how heartfelt it is; much more so than the first two Deadpool movies, in my opinion.

“That’s what really excites me, once people get past the F-words and the 17-year-old rating, we’ll see how great it is.”

The film is set six years after the events of PersonagesWade has hung up his uniform, stopped dating Vanessa, and is working as a used car salesman.

While celebrating his birthday with friends, agents of the Time Variance Authority tear Wade from his reality and take him to meet their boss, Mr. Paradox, who informs Deadpool that a greater destiny awaits him.

This is the beginning of a great multiverse-time adventure as Wolverine finds himself having to face the villain Cassandra Nova.

The confirmed cast for the film also includes Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin AND Stefan Kapicic like Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen as a TVA agent, and Leslie Uggams like Blind Al.

They join them Brianna Hildebrand AND Shioli Kutsunawho will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend, Yukio. It was previously confirmed that actress Jennifer Garner will return in the film as Electra.

Deadpool and Wolverine will hit theaters on July 26th!
