Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia2020 movies The platform was a huge success for Netflix, becoming one of the most-watched original films in the streaming service’s history.
The first teaser trailer for the sequel has been released, Platform 2and it looks like Gaztelu-Urrutia has made another crazy horror film.
The synopsis reads: “A mysterious figure has managed to establish a new law in The Platform, but can justice really be applied in hell? And who will enforce it?”
The original film is set inside a vertical prison system, where inmates are assigned to a level and forced to ration food from a platform that moves between floors.
The inmates on the upper floors eat better than those on the lower floors, and one man tries to make sure everyone eats enough.
The movie stars Milena Smith AND Hovik Keuchkerian and is scheduled to premiere on October 4, 2024. If you haven’t seen the original film yet, it’s worth a watch.
