Kevin Feige Says He’s Most Excited for FANTASTIC FOUR Out of All the Upcoming Marvel Movies

Of all the Marvel movies coming out in the next few years, there’s one that the president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige that’s what excites me the most.

You would think the movie would be Deadpool and Wolverine because it will make the studio a billion dollars. The film will give Marvel the box office success it so desperately needs after a string of disappointing.

But no… that’s not what excites Feige. He’s more excited than The fantastic FourHe was recently a guest on The Official Marvel Podcast, when asked what he was most excited about about the upcoming film and television projects in The Multiverse Saga, he said:

“The corporate response is, ‘They’re all our kids and we love them all equally.’ And I’m very excited about that. Deadpool and Wolverine Then Agatha for life AND Captain America Brave New World AND Lightning* and the new Daredevil –- and this is all true.”

He continued: “But if you want the real answer, if we’re trying to be realistic in this podcast, the answer is The fantastic FourI’m incredibly excited about what we’re doing with The fantastic Four now and with what Matt Shakmanour director who did WandaVision for us, he’s working. He’s already moved to London and we’ll start shooting at the end of July.”

Feige then revealed that they will begin filming right after this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. He shared, “Funny story, we start filming the Monday after Comic-Con. The day after Comic-Con is the first day of filming on Fantastic Four.

“And I’m incredibly excited about that because I think those characters are pillars, legendary pillars of the Marvel Universe that we’ve never really gotten to play with or explore in a meaningful way, other than Multiverse of Madness and some fun previews of how we’ll do it in that movie.

“So I’m extremely excited about that, and I’m also excited about the two Avengers movie, and this will be after Fantastic Four.“

They must be planning something big with The Fantastic Four, and it will be interesting to see how they actually handle these characters. Fans have been waiting for years to see what Marvel would do with these characters, and fans are really hoping they do something great with them.

Feige also confirmed that the film will indeed be set in the 1960s in an alternate reality and also announced when filming will begin.

He clarified the film’s setting, saying, “Yes, yes, very much so. It’s a period. There were a lot of smart people who noticed that that cityscape didn’t exactly look like the New York that we know, or that existed in the ’60s in our world. Those are smart observations, I would say.”

The movie stars Peter Pascal (The Last of Us) like Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible – Discovery of Death) as Sue Storm, known as the Invisible Woman; Joseph Quinn (Stranger things) like Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch; and Ebony moss – Bachrach (The Punisher, The Bear) as Ben Grimm, aka the Thing.

Paul Walter Houser he was also recently cast in the project in an unknown role, Natasha Lyon, AND Julia Garner (Ozark, Inventing Anna) will play the role of Shalla-Bal, the incarnation of the Silver Surfer. Ralph Ineson will play Galactus.

The script comes from Josh Friedmanwho was called to rewrite the script originally written by Jeff Kaplan AND Ian Springer.

The fantastic Four will hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
