Marvel Television made waves at New York Comic Con this year and offered some new details about the Disney+ series Vision research.

The studio released new casting details and the show’s official logo, but also gave fans a first look at the next chapter in Vision’s story and confirmed the arrival of another key Young Avenger.

Ruaridh Crumb he was cast as Tommy Maximoff, also known as “Speed”. The character, who first appeared in WandaVision as one of Wanda’s twin sons, is the brother of Billy Maximoff/Wiccan, who will return already in Agata always.

Like his uncle Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver, Tommy’s gift is superspeed, which earned him his iconic codename. With Mollica stepping into the role, Vision Quest is clearly setting the stage for the long-rumored formation of Marvel’s Young Avengers.

Marvel also confirmed that Ultron, FRIDAY, EDITH and JARVIS will once again be played by James D’Arcyreprising his role as Agent Carter, and DUM-E will all appear in human form.

Fans lucky enough to be in the room at NYCC got to see an exclusive teaser trailer showing glimpses of these characters and our first look at Tommy in action. Unfortunately, that footage hasn’t been posted online, at least not yet. The only official preview available to the public at this time is for The Wonder Manwhich Marvel shared previously.

Paolo Bettany made a surprise appearance during the panel and offered some insights into the direction Vision’s story will take. He told the audience:

“[The Hex] The vision gave [White] He views all of his memories, including the Hex’s memories, but White Vision has difficulty connecting to them. White Vision’s journey is his attempt to connect to those memories and who he was.”

Vision Quest will explore the emotional and existential struggle of White Vision as he tries to rediscover his humanity and purpose after the events of WandaVision.

Marvel Studios has since confirmed this Vision research will officially conclude the trilogy begun with WandaVision and continue with Agata always.

With returning characters, a growing roster of artificial intelligences, and the introduction of a new Young Avenger, this series is shaping up to be one of the most challenging and emotionally charged projects in the MCU.
