James Gunn shares behind-the-scenes photo of Superman’s huge cameo in PEACEMAKER season 2

James Gunnthe mind behind it Superman and co-CEO of DC Studios, just posted a behind-the-scenes photo Peacemaker on X, and mocks a major label Superman connection that ties directly into the larger DC universe he’s building.

The image shows Gunn on set Franco Grillo AND Nicola Houltand was taken during the filming of episode 6, titled “Ignorance Is Chris”.

Gunn jokingly captioned it: “We’re filming episode 6 of #Peacemaker with a really great guy and also with Frank Grillo. The finale airs this Thursday on @StreamOnMax.”

In the photo, Hoult is wearing an orange prison jumpsuit, standing next to Gunn in a casual black shirt and glasses, while Grillo sports a black polo. The background is the prison where Lex is located.

Gunn’s post came just before the upcoming season finale, and Lex’s involvement was one of the show’s biggest surprises so far, and will help set up the events on The man of tomorrow.

In Peacemaker In season two, Cena returns as conflicted antihero Chris Smith, joined by Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, Franco GrilloAND Sol Rodriguez.

Gunn wrote all eight episodes of this season and directed three, including the premiere. Together with him he also holds the role of executive producer Pietro Safran and Cena, with Greg Mottola, Pietro SollettAND Alethea Jones manage other episodes.

THE Peacemaker The season two finale, titled “Full Nelson,” arrives on HBO Max this Thursday. For now it will wrap up Chris Smith’s arc while setting up major threads for the next era of Gunn’s DC Universe, including what comes next The man of tomorrow.
