Season 2 of Celebrities’S The Sandman has added several new cast members, who will play characters from fan-favorite storylines in the DC graphic novel series.
Ruairi O’Connor he was chosen to play Orpheus son of My Friend Tom Sturridge’s Dream.: “The poet, musician, and oracle is the only son of Dream and the muse Calliope. Orpheus is a young idealist and romantic, and very much his father’s son, until tragedy strikes and reveals to him the true nature of love.”
The series also includes Freddie Fox like Loki, Clive Russell like Odin, Laurence O’Fuarain like Thor, Anna Skelly like Nuala, Douglas Cabin like Cluracán and Mr. Jack Gleeson like Puck.
All of these characters were introduced in the “Season of Mists” story arc by The Sandman comic books.
Then, there is India Moorewho will play Wanda and Steve Coogan will provide the voice of the dog Barnabas. These two characters first appeared in the “Brief Lives” storyline of the comics.
Previously announced cast members include Esme Creed Miles like Delirium, Adrian Lester like Destiny and Barry Sloane like “The Prodigal”.
These characters play a major role in the storylines of “Season of Mists” and “Brief Lives.” They are the remaining members of “The Endless” family that Dream is a part of, and will join the returning siblings from Season 1, Death (Chirby), Wish (Mason Alexander Park), Despair (Donna Preston) and Dream.
Other returning cast members include Patton Oswalt like Matthew the Crow, Vivienne Acheampong like Lucienne, Gwendoline Christie like Lucifer Morningstar, actress like Johanna Constantine, Ferdinand Kingsley like Hob Gadling, Stephen Fried like Gilbert, Asim Chaudhry like Abel, My friend Sanjeev Bhaskar like Cain, Vanesu Samunyai like Rose Walker, and Razane Jammal like Lyta Hall.
In the series: “There is another world waiting for all of us when we close our eyes and sleep: a place called Dreaming, where the Sandman, Master of Dreams, gives shape to all our deepest fears and fantasies.
“But when Dream is unexpectedly captured and held prisoner for a century, his absence triggers a series of events that will forever change both the dream and waking worlds.
“To restore order, Dream must travel across worlds and timelines to right the wrongs he’s made over the course of his vast existence, revisiting old friends and enemies and encountering new entities, both cosmic and human, along the way.”
The Sandman series was created by Netflix and is developed by Gaiman, showrunner Allan Heinberg AND Dr. David S. Goyer.
