Marvel Studios has teamed up with Entertainment Weekly for a new video featuring My name is Ryan Reynolds. AND Hugh Jackman offering a fun recap of Deadpool and Deadpool 2 ahead of the release of Deadpool and Wolverine.
The actor also hilariously recounts their on-screen relationship, dating back to 2009 X-Men Origins: WolverineIt’s a lot of fun watching Reynolds and Jackman bounce off each other as they talk about this stuff.
Marvel Studios presents its most significant blunder to date: “Deadpool and Wolverine.” An apathetic Wade Wilson struggles in civilian life.
“His days as the morally flexible mercenary Deadpool are behind him. When his home planet faces an existential threat, Wade must once again don an even more reluctant… reluctant? Very reluctant?
“He has to convince a reluctant Wolverine to – Fuck you. Synopses are so fucking stupid.”
The film’s existential threat is Cassandra Nova, the evil twin sister of X-Men Professor Charles Xavier, who poses a threat to the multiverse.
This whole story will lead Deadpool to change the history of the MCU as he and Wolverine traverse the multiverse in a crazy adventure.
The rest of the cast includes Emma Corrin like Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin AND Stefan Kapicic like Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen as a TVA agent, and Leslie Uggams like Blind Al.
They join them Brianna Hildebrand AND Shioli Kutsunawho will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend, Yukio. It was previously confirmed that actress Jennifer Garner will return to the role of Electra in the film.
Deadpool and Wolverine will hit theaters on July 26th!
