I thought I’d remind you of a couple of absurd commercials Sony produced for its PlayStation console in the late 90s and early 2000s.
The first one is called “Welcome To The Third Space” and it was directed by Ridley Scott. It is a very surreal and bizarre ad! The second one is called “Mental Wealth” and it was directed by Chris Cunningham. The second ad was very disturbing and disturbing.
“Mental Wealth” featured a young Scottish woman with braids and very strange, inhuman eyes. I remember watching it and talking to friends about whether the girl in the commercial was really like that! It was so different and unique at the time.
Both ads seem very unbalanced and I really liked that. This era was full of all kinds of crazy ads and I really liked that PlayStation and other companies were thinking outside the box to create some crazy ads!
