A24 has released the first trailer for a new horror film called Heretic, which is where it comes from A quiet place writers Scott Beck AND Bryan Woodswho wrote the screenplay and will direct the film.
The film is said to follow two Mormon missionary sisters “who attempt to convert a man who turns out to be far more dangerous than they could have anticipated.”
Movie stars Hugh Grant (D&D: Honor Among Thieves), Chloe East (The Fabelmans) AND Sophie Thatcher (Yellow jackets) and it looks like this could be a fun and creepy horror movie!
The official plot reads: “Two young missionaries are forced to prove their faith when they knock on the wrong door and are greeted by a diabolical Mr. Reed, becoming trapped in his deadly game of cat and mouse.”
The film will definitely have an interesting twist in the story and I’m curious to see how the story unfolds. I never thought I’d see a mainstream horror film about Mormon missionaries. I also like that High Grant plays a dark and twisted villain.
I can’t wait to watch it! A24 will release Heretic in theaters November 15, 2024.
