Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Arcane Season 2, based on success League of Legends video game franchise. This is an exciting and exciting first look at Season 2, and it looks like it’s going to be great!
League of Legends was co-created by Cristiano Linke AND Alex Yeeand this series follows the origins of League champions Vi and Jinx, as they become embroiled in the power struggle between the utopian city of Piltover and the oppressed underground city of Zaun.
Arcane Season 2 is the final chapter of the story and in it Jinx’s attack on the Council sets the stage for a terrible escalation of the conflict between Piltover and Zaun.
In the cities of Piltover and Zaun, “tensions rise as inventors, thugs, politicians and crime lords grow increasingly dissatisfied with the constraints of a devastated society. With the situation on the verge of being untenable, two sisters steal an artifact of immeasurable power. Discovery and danger collide as heroes are born and bonds are broken. Will this power change the world? Or will it lead to ruin? This is the world of Arcane.”
When it comes to the story of Jinx and Vi, “In the midst of growing unrest between the wealthy, utopian city of Piltover and its seedy, downtrodden underbelly of Zaun, sisters Vi and Jinx find themselves on opposite sides of a brewing conflict about conflicting beliefs and arcane technologies.”
Speaking previously about the series, Purnell teased that the upcoming season will make you cry. He shared, “Oh man, I’m trying to remember [season one] because it happened more than two years ago.
“I actually just went back to the studio to complete some ADR scenes for the season two finale – and I cried. So I think other people will cry too. It’s devastating and no one will feel good after seeing it.”
Arcane Season 2 will premiere on Netflix in November! I can’t wait to see the final chapter of this story unfold!
