WB Games and Rocksteady have released a new trailer for the upcoming VR game Batman: Arkham Shadowand offers some new footage and details on the story, which involves the chaos in Gotham City caused by the villainous Rat King.
The story is set between the events of Batman: Arkham Origins AND Batman: Arkham Asylumand takes place during the Fourth of July, where Gotham City is besieged by the mysterious Rat King and his cult devotees.
Public officials, including Commissioner Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, were kidnapped. The Rats pledged to execute them within a week for “crimes committed against the people of Gotham City”.
Arkham Shadow will feature the origins of iconic characters like The Scarecrow, Harley Quinn and more, as Batman grapples with the contradiction at the heart of his identity: the use of force to pursue peace.
The game is currently in development for Meta Quest 3, with a Autumn 2024 publication. It looks funny!
