DIMENSION 20: NEVER STOP BLOWING UP mixes TTRPG with summer action blockbusters

Dropout has released a trailer for Size 20: Never stop exploding. The new season of my favorite tabletop RPG series looks incredibly fun because it will be in a way Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle but with action movies.

The six characters are all rather mundane people who are dropped into a magical VHS tape where the action doesn’t seem to stop. Brennan Lee Mulligan returns as Game Master and this season’s cast includes Jacob Wysocki as Andy ‘Dang’ Litefoot/Greg Stocks, Ify Nwadiwe as Wendell Morris/Vic Ethanol, Ally Beardsley as Russell Feeld/Jennifer Drips, Alex Song-Xia as Liv Skyler/Kingskin, Isabella Rolando as Paula Donvalson (née Buocadifuoco)/Jack Manhattan, e Rekha Shankar like Usha Rao/G-13. This is an incredible cast and I think it’s Wysocki Size 20 debut!

In this season of the platform’s beloved reality game series, six down-on-their-luck mall employees get sucked into a magical VHS tape, transforming into high-octane action heroes — and must figure out how to navigate the movie to get home .

For Never stop exploding, Size 20 will use a homebrew system also called Never stop exploding. This system is heavily inspired by Children on bicycles from Hunter Entertainment. Honestly, I’m not that surprised. Based on the trailer, this type of story seemed to benefit from a non-fiction approach.5E system and have used similar systems in the past as hon Mentopolis AND Misfits and magic.

Never stop exploding will premiere on Dropout on June 26 and will run for 10 episodes. The official announcement says nothing, but if the pattern holds, new episodes will be released every two weeks with a Adventure Festival episode in the intervening weeks.
