A few weeks ago. Legendary Entertainment has revealed that they are developing a new Godzilla films for his Monsterverse, and they carried on Dave Callaham (Shang Chi) to write the screenplay.
Now it has been announced that they have hired I am Mother director Grant Gobber to direct the next chapter of the franchise. This news comes later Adam Wingard he walked away from the franchise after directing Godzilla vs. Kong AND Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
I am Mother it was a decent movie, so maybe Sputore will be able to breathe new life into the franchise and actually make a good American Godzilla movie. Only time will tell.
Sputore is a commercial director who has been recognized in all the major advertising awards around the world.
There are no plot details to share, but you can bet we’ll see Godzilla take on more massive kaiju monsters. Maybe Gobber will actually be able to tell a story appropriate to the creature and the human characters.
