Thomas Haden Church is the newest actor to join Rian Johnson’s cast Wake Up Dead Man: A Mystery at Knives Out. This is the third film of Knives out murder mystery franchise, and Church joins an impressive cast.
The rest of the cast includes Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Glenn Close, Andrea ScottAND Daniel Craigwho will return as world-famous detective Benoit Blanc.
No details about Wake Up Dead Man’s story have been revealed, but Johnson suggested it would have a different tone to Knives Out.
She said: “I love everything about crime fiction, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and being able to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making films with Benoit Blanc.”
It’s great to see Haden Church coming on board the franchise! He is currently filming the third part of Kevin Costner’s western Horizon: An American Saga.
Production on Wake Up Dead Man will begin in the UK in June.
