Kerry Washington (Scandal, small fires everywhere) joined the ensemble cast of Ryan Johnsonit’s the next movie Wake Up Dead Man: A Mystery at Knives Out.
Washington joins Daniel Craig, Josh O’Connor, Cailee SpaenyAND Andrea Scott. All we know about the film is that Craig will return to play detective Benoit Blanc and find himself investigating another mysterious murder.
Speaking previously about the project, Johnson said: “I have the premise, I have the setting, I have what the movie is in my head. It’s just a matter of writing the damn thing.
Johnson also said, “I love everything about crime fiction, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and being able to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making films with Benoit Blanc.”
The film will go into production next month and be released in 2025.
