1883 star Isabel May is set to lead the cast of an upcoming sci-fi horror thriller film project titled Threat. The film is directed by Randall Okita (See For me) for the genre label Spooky Pictures.
In the film, May plays “a research student who has a psychotic break and is placed in the care of her aunt and uncle in a small town.
“When strange things start happening around her and people start disappearing, she’s not sure what’s real or what’s her imagination.”
Producer Ben RossInterim CEO of Image Nation, said in a statement: “Threat marks the continuation of Image Nation’s journey into the international market and expanding slate of dark genre films… We can’t wait for audiences to see this script come to life with Isabel May leading the cast for another feature film Image Nation/Spooky Pictures’ vanguard. thriller at your place.
Producer Steven Schneider added: “Our co-production partnership with Image Nation continues to go from strength to strength. We are thrilled to announce our third project, especially with such a fantastic talent as Isabel May in our lead role. Let’s wait to see what success Threat and our continued collaboration brings with it.”
Threat it is written by Thom Eberhardt (The night of the comet) and production of the film has already finished in Canada. The first footage of the film will be screened in Cannes.
May also appeared in the Apple TV+ series Lords of the Airand the opposite stars Jenny Slate AND Charlie Day in Amazon’s romantic comedy I want you back.
