AS My Adventures with Superman Season two will premiere on Adult Swin later this month, with the creative team already developing seasons three and four.
This news was confirmed by showrunner Jake Wyatt during an interview with Showrunner Talk. He said: “Brendan and I wrote the drafts for 3 and 4. They were creatively approved. I can’t argue whether they were greenlit.”
I guess if the upcoming second season goes well, the series will continue. It also looks like the cast is on board for more, too!
During an interview with CB, Superman/Clark Kent voice actor Jack Quaid said the cast would love nothing more than to work on the animated series forever.
He shared, “I don’t think you’ll find one of us who will say, ‘No, absolutely not.’ No. I mean, we’re so lucky that we get to play these characters, these characters that have been around for generations and I love how our show puts this unique spin on the whole thing.
“Everyone knows the myth, but our show occasionally turns things on its head. I love this universe that Jake [Wyatt] and Brendan [Clogher] and Josie [Campbell] and everyone created, and I just want to keep playing it forever. Honestly, I could go on forever. Is fantastic.”
This is a fun show and is quite popular among Superman fans. It’s not hard to imagine Adult Swim renewing it for multiple seasons.
The first season of this show was fantastic and many fans seemed to enjoy the story it told. Looks like next season is going to be fun! The trailer sees Superman battling all sorts of baddies and also offers a first look at Supergirl in action!
My Adventures with Superman is a “serialized coming-of-age story centered on twenty-somethings Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen as they discover who they are, together.”
In this new season, “the three best friends face a series of new threats. Powerful enemies will emerge from Clark’s alien past, Amanda Waller will target Superman, Lois will grapple with the future, and Jimmy Olsen will spend an incredible amount of money.
“Krypton is coming for our young heroes, and its arrival will test their strength, loyalty and love like never before.”
The series is the protagonist Jack Quaid as Superman/Clark Kent, Alice Lee as Lois Lane, and Ishmel Sahid like Jimmy Olsen’s voice.
Sam Register serves as executive producer. Jake Wyatt AND Brendan Clogher serve as co-executive producers and showrunners. Josie Campbell serves as co-producer.
The second season of the series will debut on Adult Swim with two consecutive episodes, followed by a new episode every Saturday. New episodes will also stream Sundays on Max.
The series comes from Warner Bros. Animation and will premiere Saturday, May 25 at midnight ET/PT on Adult Swim.
